I recently saw the original Godzilla for the first time and really enjoyed it.
Are these other two Toho monster movies as good?
What say you?

Yes both Rodan and Mothra are as good as the original Godzilla film! If you haven't seen them yet then you should, the Japanese version of Rodan is even better then the american cut version if you ask me.

After seeing the original Gojira I have no interest in the American versions. The plot for Mothra sounds so odd though: Mothra is some sort of Goddess? I guess it probably works though.

I like Rodan possibly even more than 'Gojira.' 'Mothra' is another good one. I think it probably has the best special effects and miniatures of the classic Toho monster films.

In the King Ghidora movie there were two twin girls that spoke for Mothra. But she was definitely more of a protector God than a destructive monster in that one. I feel like there was some psychic stuff between Mothra and the girls. It’s been a while.

Rodan is really good; not sure if I've ever seen Mothra, if I have it's been a while so I can't speak for that. Marv is right about another one, you should check out Ghidorah the Three-Headed Monster after you watch the other two.

I finally got around to buying Beast on Bluray a couple of months ago, I was like a little 10 year old again seeing it for the first time.

The alien monster is really well done! It's amazing how FX done decades before my birth can thrill me more than most modern CGI. You can just feel how much work/craft went into doing those old effects.
