Maybe some kind of document should be created that, once signed, forbids any individual on speaking about any important political and/or social issue or any elected official or world leaders. And it should be given to any professional athlete, actor, singer, musician, published author, or any other famous person not in, or not seeking any political office.
No exceptions.

I am getting a little tired of her "Look at me! I'm kooky and klutzy!" shtick whenever she falls down at an award show or says something off-beat.

...she's blah as far as I'm concerned. The Hunger Games films were idiotic nonsense...

That's the only reason she keeps getting cast in movies. If it wasn't for her looks they would stop casting her. She's very similar to Kristen Stewart acting wise. I swear she plays almost the same character in every movie she's in. Obviously you have no capacity whatsoever for judging good acting, or you've let idiotic ideological biases get in the way of your cognitive capacities. She is going to go down in history as one of the greatest actresses in her generation, and that's just a fact. And no, she doesn't play the same character every time. Ree is nothing like Tiffany who is nothing like Rosalyn who is nothing like her (from mother!) who is nothing like Dominika--they even have different postures and ways of moving for chrissakes. And please, nobody but a tiny minority of you special snowflake right wingners cares about the politics of an artist. In the lead up to Stephen King's It movie, he was online making ten times more the amount of anti-Trump, anti-right wing statements than Lawrence ever has and that had no impact at all on the movie's success. Get a clue.

She's genuinely been like that since she was a kid. She drove her parents nuts so often that sometimes they'd lock her out of the house to get a break from it.

There was a time I really liked Jennifer Lawrence as an actress, but when she brought up politics,"woah lady have you been living under a rock the past 8 years?" Her movies have suffered due to her politics. Mother! was a mess and Red Sparrow I heard is not very good. She's never really had a good movie outside of the Hunger games and even then the only good ones were the first 2. She needs to understand that if she continues down this road with her politics no one is going to see her movies. Actually a lot of celebs need to understand a lot of people don't care what we think of their politics. She just needs to become modest actually.

She's awfully young and has a lot of room for growth. As to her lack of personal modesty, well, she's a celeb, people solicit her opinions all the time, thus she can come across as lacking in humility. She could maybe use better judgment when she appears in public, opens her mouth.

If I’m being completely honest...I almost never pay attention to what celebrities are saying. Like, political or personal opinions outside of the films they’re on or something to do with show business. That stuff just doesn’t stick with me. So I don’t know what JLaws political opinions are and I don’t really care.
She’s attractive and not bad in movies. But she has never wowed me with her acting chops. She’s just kind of there.

I actually think she's a really good actress although she's no Margot Robbie in the looks department. She's got a gift for facial expressions that telegraph what she's thinking or feeling.

She's lucky that she's getting any attention by her looks alone and not her (non-existent) talent.

It sounds like you are saying since you heard about her political views, you don't like her movies anymore. As shallow as that sounds. It is possible. I used to love Tom cruise and was so proud of the fast that I worked as a babysitter for the people who bought his house but as soon as he went all strange with his "religion" I lost quite a bit of respect for him. I can still watch a few good men and top gun but I can't sit through any of his newer things.

I assume that all celebrities are loony and think it is insane that they are considered role models in the first place. However, if they're good at what they do, I have a hard time even avoiding them and it would be dishonest for me to judge their performance based on their personality although I will avoid them based on action perhaps. About the only one I've pretty much condemned is Roman Polanski.

spooner5020I almost entirely agree with that if it were not for Passengers (2016).

I have a feeling those have more to do with crappy screenplays than her politics. That too,but no one really went to see Mother because of something stupid she said about how Trump caused the hurricane. Also her Xmen movies may have been good but they weren't good cause of her and if anything she was always the worst part about them. She totally misunderstood the character of Mystique. LOL, this isn't an even remotely true. This whole notion that she needs to stop acting because she talks about politics is just bizarre.
