A movie about making a movie. Called a masterpiece by some. It's certainly chaotic. François Truffaut's Day for Night aka La nuit américaine 1973. It won the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar.

Another famous movie I had never seen before. Ronald Colman and Signe Hasso in Othello in A Double Life 1947. Directed by George Cukor.

Another famous movie I had never seen before. Ronald Colman and Signe Hasso in Othello in A Double Life 1947. Directed by George Cukor. Saw it earlier in the year. I was blown away. Could be my favorite first viewing for the year so far. What a performance by Ronald Colman! Also a very young Shelley Winter appeared in the movie.

Cry Terror!(1958). Criminals hold a family hostage while extorting an airline with bomb threats. Impressive cast: James Mason and Inger Stevens are the hostages; Rod Steiger, Angie Dickinson, Neville Brand, and Jack Klugman the crooks; Kenneth Tobey an FBI agent; and William Schallert a banker. 7/10.

Not sure what to think about this one. The Beguiled 2017 with Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning, Angourie Rice, Oona Laurence, Addison Riecke, and Emma Howard. I haven't seen the earlier version with Clint Eastwood so I have nothing to compare with.
