Initially not very interested in watching this movie, but the longer it went on, and it went on for very long, the more interested I got, without embracing it. Kevin Costner, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Tina Majorino in Waterworld 1995. Directed by Kevin Reynolds.

Before CGI the used real animals for dramatic effect, and a lot of patience too I guess. The fox in The Belstone Fox 1973 directed by James Hill. The fox that outfoxed the fox hunters. If fox hunts isn't horrible enough, there was a few scenes that with modern eyes was very un-family friendly, at least in the 105 minute restored version that I watched.

Rural Quebec village in the 1940's where they only speak French. Jean Duceppe and Jacques Gagnon in Mon Oncle Antoine 1971 directed by Claude Jutra. Takes place in one of those villages that grew out of a mining industry, in this case it's asbestos-mining, around Christmastime.

Not a movie, but a documentary. Not sure if we post those here or not. It’s about the stray cats of Istanbul. I highly recommend it to Catman

I haven't seen the movie myself, but I read spoilers. To find out whether BDH's character of Claire survived or not. I guess you were right and I didn't really have anything to worry about in regards to whether she got to keep her head or not after the trailers and this pic had me concerned... In this case I'm glad I was wrong and you were right. I'm glad I was right too.
