I was completely stunned when I saw the announcement. Must have reread it at least three times to make sure I was reading it correctly. Then I was totally bummed out. But hey, I'm quite happy here. Pretty much the same for me. My biggest concern/thought was about the chats on/about specific shows or movies. I loved that after watching the latest episode of a favorite show I could talk about it with others and ask and answer questions about something that happened. Or to verify the actor that played a specific role. |

FG was being influxed with trolls/spammers so I didn't particularly care when I heard it would be shut down. However I was absolutely devastated when I realized they'd be shutting down the individual film boards as well. I couldn't believe they would get rid of such a valuable repository for many insightful conversations which were accumulated over the years for no tangible reason. Most of those conversations are at least now stored on film boards/movie chat, but people hardly ever post there. IMDB couldn't have made a worse decision by deleting individual boards.
