Literally every time I hear news about Avatar sequels they're in "pre-production" on more of them.
I wish they'd either just drop it already or release the sequel so it can bomb and then kill it off.

This guy is worse than GRRM. I want at least four more Avatars now. They're nice to look at.

Wow, Cameron must not have a lot of faith in Avatar 2 being able to compete in the current Hollywood climate.

I can't fathom how five people voted for wanting to see 4 more movies. Without hearing even so much as a plot summary for the next one, how can you possibly think the series is worth three more movies?! You don't even know if the next one is any good.

No. The first one was nice to look at, but the story was poor. So i think one was enough.

I mean, like it or not, I think we can all applaud the first one for being a standalone feature film. I will like a more ambitious sequel to be made if possible. But it's been eight years, Cameron, what the fuck you waiting for?

We all know the obvious lack of/thin storyline, but even if you look at it strengths, I don't think there is anything there either. I legitimately do not think it is a good-looking movie. He has turned into another George Lucas or Peter Jackson. He becomes obsessed or consumed by a project and stops everything else until he perfects it. I'm not just talking about Avatar either. Remember how he just made documentary after documentary of the Titanic.... After making a movie about the Titanic?

But I eventually realized I was getting myself and that I really did not like the movie.

Now I'm just sad that Cameron won't let go of this universe. 4 movies?? Come on, you surely can do something different and probably better than that

It seems to me like he concentrate all his attention in breaking technological boundaries with every movie, and he's ignoring other aspects like screenplay, acting..
