What is she taking a polygraph test about?
I could watch the video to see, I suppose, but I've had enough of her acting.

It's mostly a bunch of fluff, but she does get asked 1 serious question about the afterlife: She says she doesn't really believe in it, as it is likely just an invention by narcissistic minds who can't imagine not existing.
Does she know that people exist outside her rich Hollywood circle? Would she like to tell an African mother whose baby has died from disease how she is being narcissistic in having faith that he/she is in a better place? Or the billions of other humans throughout history in similar situations?
No? Ok then.

THawkNot surprising as liberals tend to be similar enough to that mindset. but one general pattern I imagine is common... liberal = atheist (or close enough) conservative = Christian (well those who take Christianity a bit more seriously I should say) I know that's not always the case but in general I would imagine it likely is.

None of this bullshit pretend concern on your part invalidates her point that belief in an afterlife comes from flaws in human cognition rather than an appreciation of objective reality.

I'm heartbroken ! I thought Jennifer and I might have had something , but not only is she completely unmoved by a lovable bespeckled guy , we have no common interests at all !
I can now only really see her relaxing in a reality show , something like her and Scarlett Johansson forced to live together in a holiday villa in the Bahamas for 2 months , where we can watch them prepare and eat meals together every day , and later play challenges , then swim and in the evening read to each other and act out movie scenes !
Goodbye Sweet Honey , to what may possibly have been , but never was !

Lol you don't know shit. And you can cut the bullshit tough-guy act. You're one of the biggest loser snowflakes on this entire board. Do honor us with your vast, extensive evidence for the existence of the afterlife. Or are you all bark and no bite? You missed the entire point of why I responded to your dick posts. I didn't claim to have evidence. My claim was that you were being an asshole who insulted over three quarters of the world's population. If you want evidence, then there's nothing. Nothing for either side. The closest thing to evidence that we have are those that were medically declared dead and were brought back to life. And most of those claim to have been in some sort of afterlife. Look up Father Jose Maniyangat or the visions at Fatima. That's the only thing close to evidence that there is, and it seems to prove you wrong. Here's my point now: the afterlife can't be proven to be real or fake. It's not possible. It's based on belief. So why insult someone else's belief system and literally say that they lack human cognitive skills? I don't care that you don't believe in the afterlife. Believe what you want. I do care that you're an asshole to anyone that does.

My claim was that you were being an asshole who insulted over three quarters of the world's population. If you want evidence, then there's nothing. Nothing for either side. If there is no solid scientific evidence for the afterlife--and there is none, personal anecdotes from people who have been close to death are garbage--then belief in the afterlife is irrational, and I don't give a flying fuck how insulted people are when I say so. Truth matters and idiots are idiots.

Truth matters and idiots are idiots. First of all that is mighty 'scientific' of you to dismiss the anecdotes of various of hundreds of thousands of people of all walks of life and backgrounds as nothing but "garbage" without a second (or first) look; but more importantly J-Law's response is not a matter of evidence of the afterlife, but a matter of whether such a belief or hope is "narcissistic." I can understand how in the delusional Hollywood den of material opulence, where the main event of one's year is giving each other golden statues, it could be seen as "narcissistic," but it in no way shape or form corresponds with the vast majority of humankind throughout the ages, where the afterlife is the only hope that dreams, justice, mercy, restoration and redemption will not be defeated by death for all time.
