• Seattle Evergreens
• Seattle Firebirds
• Seattle Kraken
• Seattle Rainiers
• Seattle Renegades
• Seattle Sea Lions
• Seattle Seals

We have a local hockey team called the Thunderbirds. I always thought that was a kick ass name!

No Supersonics? That aside, probably the Seals. Next choice would be the Thunderbirds. Kraken sounds a little odd because it sounds like there is only one of them. The Seattle Krakens sounds better. If I had to bet on which name they pick for an NHL team, I would probably put my money on the Seals because of marketing towards kids.

Kraken. Has to be. Unique. Not ‘coloured’ (Tigers that aren’t gold and black is weird). Such an easy marketing tag line “Release the Kraken”....

Of those I guess Seattle Cougars. If it was the state name then Washington Eagles would be the best, Seattle Eagles not so much. Totems is ok. Seals was Oakland/San Fran's nickname in the NHL and since this is a different franchise I feel like I should have a problem with it. Hartford had the Whalers which sounds better than Whales anyway. How about the Sonics (no 'Super' in front or are they saving it for a returning NBA team?).
The Seattle: Sounds Sequoias Millionaires (Vancouver's pro nickname in the early days and totally apropos for Seattle today) Volcanoes Eruptors (Eruption?) Chill (double entendre: relaxed northwesterners and a game played on ice) Cascades Mountaineers
One of the strongest options definitely should be the nickname Metropolitans (Mets) of an early pro league.

Rainiers, though I'm not expecting it to win.
Kraken is of Norwegian & Greenland (Icelandic) origin tale... not sure that'd fit Seattle's demo.

I like the Sockeyes but the logo wouldn't be very appealing.

I just think with the Canucks orca logo, Seattle would wish to distance... esp being practical neighbours.

Icebears, Wanderers, Walkers, Yetis, Sharks, Grizzlies. Icebears sounds sweet. I like 'Yetis' too - both original. Polar Bears? Sea Bears?

Titans are Ancient Greek Gods.....not sure that’d fit Tennessee’s demo. If we are to fit Seattle’s demo - it would be Seattle Grunge, or Seattle Baristas.....

Titans are Ancient Greek Gods.....not sure that’d fit Tennessee’s demo. Nashville has been called "The Athens of the South" for over 200 years. So, I'd say any Ancient Greek reference is a 100% fit.
