Fight club is arguably the most overrated movie of all time. Not sure about 'of all time', but it definitely got more praise than it deserved. It's a perfectly fine quirky movie...and that's it.

Baseball and Golf are not sports. They are recreational games. I'm not saying they don't take skill or that they aren't fun, but neither require the necessary athleticism to qualify as sports. Hmm...speed/agility/strength training is pretty much required for baseball, with the ability to run as necessity, no? Doesn't the ability to throw and sprint require a level of athleticism? Listen, I personally don't like baseball... matter of fact, I don't watch any ball sports, so it isn't a personal thing, but I can certainly see it qualifying as a sport. Naw. If you can have a fat ass, a pot belly, and chew tobacco while playing it...it's not a sport.

As far as 'fat' ass... and a pot belly... to whom do you refer to? Listen, I understand... curling is hysterical, it's like bowling. You can guzzle beer and make the Olympic team, so I understand your point

Prince Fielder comes to mind. There are others but I don't know their names. I can't be bothered to watch a boring baseball game. But I did find this article after googling 'Fucking fat stupid baseball player losers'. Fattest Baseball Players

Fair point to a degree... do you remember Rosie Grier, or The Refrigerator? Would you consider them 'athletes'?

As I said in the Déjà Vu thread: A musician is a person who makes music. If singers were not musicians, then songs would not be music. And that, to me, is absurd. Sure, that's one definition of musician, but another is someone who plays an instrument. It's not uncommon to use the word to categorize those who play instruments from those that sing, or write songs, or conduct. It just depends on what sense you're using it in. That is an interesting viewpoint. As a person who has played sundry instruments since the age of four, including piano recorder, clarinet and harp, I STILL don't consider myself a 'musician'. In other words, although I have a level of proficiency in many musical areas, I don't think that my proficiency level warrants the term 'musician'.

I'll just consider this distinction an unpopular opinion. Fits the spirit of this thread.

I started playing guitar in my early teens and still don't feel I'm proficient enough to be anything more than a "bedroom musician."

I have played air guitar all my life and have never sounded better.

I think "Porter Wagoner is the greatest musician of all time" is the most unpopular opinion because not only does no one else think so, it has been called into question, fairly or unfairly, whether he is a musician at all.

Yeah Arlon, once again you won. You beat a dictionary again and won the internet.

Butter is disgusting and cheesecake sucks. Star Wars sucked when I saw it in 1977 and it sucks today. Showgirls was good, though. The only good thing about Christmas is the lights. Augmented breasts are grotesque.

Alcohol tastes like poison.
There's nothing wrong with kids doing drugs and drinking.

Augmented breasts are grotesque. Agree, but I think this is a fairly popular opinion, actually.

I find Raging Bull boring. I have yet to see it in its entirety but I have tried several times over the years and I only get about 30 minutes in before becoming so bored with it I can’t concentrate.
2001 sucks as a film.
I’d rather have manual windows rather than power windows in cars.
Tom Brady is not the GOAT. He’s not even the best qb of his generation.

Pretty simple. Post some unpopular opinions about any topic that you hold. Mine: ‘The Quick and the Dead’ is the best western ever made. TqatD is wonderful...but yea I can’t put it ahead of Unforgiven, the Searchers, Good Bad Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West, El Dorado or Silverado...just to name a few. It’s still a fun watch and Hackman is great. Lots of colorful characters.

There's nothing wrong with kids doing drugs and drinking. Science and common sense say otherwise. If it's done right then there's no problem. All kids smoke weed and drink when they are teenagers. Abuse and not use us the problem. Either way it's a matter of personal freedom and the individual should decide

Science and common sense say otherwise. If it's done right then there's no problem. All kids smoke weed and drink when they are teenagers. Abuse and not use us the problem. Either way it's a matter of personal freedom and the individual should decide Kids' developing brains aren't smart enough to understand how many drugs like weed negatively impact their developing brains. Hell, many adults aren't smart enough to know how to avoid killing themselves on certain drugs. In any case, saying "I believe the positive of the freedom of choice to do drugs outweighs the negatives" =/= "There's nothing wrong with kids doing drugs and drinking." Reminds me of THIS.
