I really feel like this movie gets way too much love. Justice League was a billion times better and still managed to be the absolute worst thing Joss Whedon has put his name on.

It really is. I HATE IT. HATE. FUCKING HATE. Out of curiosity, have you seen MovieBob’s Really That Bad videos on the film? I have mixed feelings about the guy but he does provide a pretty thorough analysis on why the movie didn’t work for people. It kind of reminds me of a Mr. Plinkett review, but without the dark comedy. |

It's nowhere near the worst.
Batman and Robin, Superman 3, Superman 4, Supergirl, Blade Trinity, Ghost Rider, Ghost Rider 2, Fantastic Four 1994, Fantastic Four 2015, Catwoman, Steel, Green Lantern, Elektra, Captain America 1990, Hulk 2003, Jonah Hex, Howard the Duck, The Punisher 1989 and you could name plenty more really.
Those are all terrible movies with hardly anything good going for them at all.

Those are all terrible movies with hardly anything good going for them at all. Ghost Rider is my favorite film from 2007. batman and robin is a guilty pleasure for me. I love it. Superman 3 I liked coz of Supes' heel turn. Superman 4 is worth watching just for the lousy effects blade trinity was ok. never saw supergirl, steel, CA1990, duck, punisher 89 or ff 94. hulk 2003 was not so bad. catwoman sucked. GL wasn't so bad. don't remember anything about elektra or jonah hex, so it couldn't have been good. FF 2015 was not ok. |

For its level of anticipation it wins by a mile as the worst CBM ever. Really, what were you expecting of Steel, Catwoman, Howard the Duck, Hulk? Man, this was about Batman (the highest domestic grossing solo CBM to date, not any longer since 2018) and Superman. What we got? Martha!!!! GL was right behind it in this regards. One can also make a good case for the first Fantastic Four (no one has a real good expectation for the reboot).
Of course you can delude yourself thinking it was as bad as any other MCU out there, but tell me, which of these movies had the level of expectation or anticipation of BvS? Yeah, "BATMAN v SUPERMAN is as bad as Thor"? What, Thor? That's your solace? Ha, ha, ha...
Oh wait, there comes the compulsory "Dark Knight Trilogy" citation...
