The Public Has Proven This...
I think the only time I have ever tried Ham & Pineapple, was on a "Hawaiian" pizza. I think it had BBQ sauce. It was OK. I have had ham on other kinds of pizza, and that was fine, but I have never had pineapple on any other variety. I agree, I think "pineapple doesn't belong on pizza". I would rather have just about anything else.
OK, Pizza companies. Consumers have spoken. Stop making Ham & Pineapple pizzas, and focus on making more of your other more popluar brands. It's time to stock more of what people want to buy on the shelves.

Oddly, while pineapple is among my least favorite fruits, I do like ham and pineapple pizza. The combination of the sweet/sour from the pineapple, and the salty from the ham and cheese, is ... for lack of a better term ... a "complete flavor," to me. There are some proviso's, however. -- I have never/would never purchase one in the supermarket. I only order it freshly made, in pizzerias. -- I ask that the pineapple pieces be very well drained, or even patted dry with a towel. Pineapple juice that has dribbled down into the crust doesn't cut it. A little extra cheese also helps to guard against that, too. -- Though I don't want it to be "deep dish," I only order it where I know that the crust is substantial enough to add some of its own flavor to the mix. It hadn't occurred to me, before this post, but the pizzerias that I go to most often must think that I'm a real pain-in-the-arse. Add edit: Where Canadian bacon is an option, I choose that, over regular ham.

...I attended a week long seminar in LA some years ago. The vendor ordered pizza for the class on the last day and we all ended up with all pineapple topped pizzas. That was the first time and last time I will ever eat one of those.

I don't dislike it, but I never order it. There are many toppings I like more.

They sell frozen ham-and-pineapple pizza? Or were they store-made? I've only had pizzeria-made Hawaiian pizza, and I think it's delicious.

2 foods that have genetic reactions are cilantro and pineapple.
I hate pineapple/wet fruit on pizza, and have never liked ham. If that was all there was to eat, I'd probably scrape the pineapple off, eat the juiced ham pizza, then maybe eat the pineapple for desert despite the cheese and sauce hanging from it.
Also hate bbq chicken pizza, and don't like particularly sweet tomato sauces.

The only place pineapple belongs is in a rum punch and in juice format.

My friend Area51 digs the pineapple stuff. I only like pineapple when it's in a bowl of fruit.
