I found out a while ago, that he bought the Beatles rights to all their songs so they could use them in advertising. I'm not sure if the advertising was used in this country or not, but I know for a fact that some of their songs were used in commercials in come countries or other. Jackson's a jerk imo for doing that.

He was most definitely a jerk.
It was actually his friend (at the time) Paul McCartney who told him what a profitable investment buying song publishing rights were.
Then when it came time to bid on the rights to the Beatles songs, Michael Jackson screwed McCartney over by outbidding him and grabbed the Beatles songs for himself.
Jackson then allowed Nike to use the song Revolution for a damn shoe commercial.

Here's McCartney telling the story: While I disagree with Jackson for buying the rights when Paul clearly didn't want him to, I've never understood while some people have such a huge bug up their ass about using songs in commercials.
