Boyz II Men haven't been eligible for long, but I can see them never getting in. Going by the "official" definition of popularity, they were one of the most popular musical acts of the 90s, and yet people seem to have pretty much forgotten about them already.

Def Leppard.
The members have spoken about it in multiple interviews and how they have outsold more than half the artists and bands in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame which they are 100 percent right with and it is a joke they are not in 'cause one member of the board has personal issues with Joe Elliott. Ohh and I forgot to mention, Boyz II Men are back together and have a new album out. They are set to tour here in Australia and have been on the news.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Judas Priest and Iron Maiden have sold millions of albums. Per Wikipedia, the numbers are 50 million and 100 million respectively. These two bands have been very influential and they should both be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Judas Priest released their 18th studio album yesterday (I'm listening to it right now). I haven't looked today, but for a while yesterday it was the #1 best selling audio CD on Amazon.com. Not the best selling metal CD, the best selling CD period - even outselling "The Greatest Showman" soundtrack.

I agree with you that they deserve to be inducted. P.S. I did check not long ago and Judas Priest still has #1 best selling audio CD on Amazon.com today.

It's shameful how long it took Deep Purple to get in. I also think they have a bit of an American bias, and bands like Priest and Maiden were always bigger overseas than in America (though Priest did have a few mainstream hits here too).
