Her breakthrough in Breaking the Waves is sensational, one of the great performances of the 90s.
She's always welcome and has had the occasional triumph since - I love her performance in Gosford Park. But, sadly, she is too often wasted in small or thankless roles. I'd love for her to be given a meaty leading role sometime soon.

She was robbed of an Oscar for Breaking the Waves. I saw her in The Book Thief and she was pretty good. I feel like she was somewhat miscast in Kingsman: Golden Circle. Those are the only films I recall seeing her in.
