Depends on who you're asking. I always saw Constantine as a big character assumed everyone else felt the same way. Seems I was mistaken. Oops.

Assault On Arkham was fucking awesome. I will check out Assault on Arkham this weekend. Last animated Bat flick I saw was Gotham by Gaslight and it was good, though not as good as Batman vs Dracula, my favorite. I agree with Beccy on this. 'Assault on Arkham' was a great animated movie and far better than the live action movie. We have watched it a few times and it connects onto the Arkham video games and while you don't have to play the video games for the movie to make sense it serves as a good story in between 'Batman: Arkham Origins: Blackgate' and 'Arkham Asylum.'

Assault on Arkham is a great movie. Vastily superior to that laughably pathetic live action movie.

Small role? He was the star of the movie. Or am I missing something here? I'm talking about the character. Constantine is no Superman or Batman. I didn't know he was a DC superhero. Keanu is a big name. Why didn't they use him for a more popular hero? Mainstream characters don't require mainstream actors, the character and the brand sells the product, lesser known characters require larger performers to sell, unless your Marvel which at this point the brand sell's the characters and creates the stars.
Also outside of The Matrix Keanu isn't that big a draw, he's a solid medium budget draw but when you start thinking in terms of big budget project Reeve's isn't exactly a safe bet.

Assault on Arkham is a great movie. Vastily superior to that laughably pathetic live action movie. I think the 'Arkham' universe at a whole has been vastly superior to the DCEU in every way with their adaptions of superheroes and supervillains and a large part of that was 'cause of Paul Dini creating the 'Arkham Universe' with 'Arkham Asylum' and 'Arkham City' which is why I am hoping they continue making 'Arkham' games 'cause we actually get good adaptions of DC characters even though Paul Dini is no longer attached to it. To think 'Arkham Asylum' originated as a script Paul Dini was writing for a 'Batman' movie Warner Bros turned down is mindboggling. The 'Arkham Universe' as movies could have put DC on top but Warner Bros is one bad decision after the other with DC movies.

I think it's moving ahead again, but I could be wrong.

Have you heard about ‘The Joker’ prequel film with Joaquin Phoenix? Apparently it is going to start filming in September and there are five other Joker films in development. Some people complained about Harley Quinn having three movies but they have gone way overboard with 6 Joker movies and I am not sure if that is a good idea. While I have nothing against Joaquin Phoenix I also think at 43 he is way too old to play the Joker in an origins movie especially when Jared Leto is only 3 years older than him and they should be going with an actor in their 20s or early 30s at the latest. I think a Gotham City Sirens film is better than a Harley Quinn movie. Though I think a Birds of Prey movie would be better.
Not a big fan of Joker stand alone films. He's a supporting character, not a lead. He should appear as the antagonist of a Batman movie.

He's a supporting character, not a lead. He should appear as the antagonist of a Batman movie. 'Birds of Prey' is the better pick and I am happy Warner Bros are going with it and hope the writer and director do a good job 'cause I have been waiting a long time to see a proper adaption of 'Birds of Prey' on screen after that awful TV show fans and writers hated and I think a lot of its success is going to depend on what actresses they get for the roles. It will probably never happen 'cause too many fans want to see it and they always go against the fan choices for these castings but Yvonne Strahovski is the best choice for the Black Canary in my opinion and I would love to see Eliza Dushku as the Huntress. There are a number of actresses I think could be great as Batgirl but I am hoping they cast a big name especially with them making a 'Batgirl' movie too. I was against Joss' idea of an unknown actress 'cause I think a character like Batgirl who is the third biggest selling female superhero of all time deserves a big name actress. The Joker films are bizarre and over the top and you're right, he is a supporting character and doesn't have his own ongoing comic book series.
