Looking forward to San Diego State-New Mexico today. Lobos are on a seven game winning streak where they have scored at least 78 in every win and have games of 91, 95, 108, and 119 - - all in regulation! Aztecs are on an eight game win streak, including beating Nevada twice, and have games of 87, 90, and 94 thrown in there. It's not your dad's Mountain West!

University of Buffalo takes on Holy Toledo for the MAC Championship tonight. Two western NY teams in the Big Dance? Huzzah!
Georgia fires Mark Fox and UConn fires Kevin Ollie. Ollie will be back. UConn is salivating over Dan Hurley's resume. We don't even have a complete bracket and the coaching carousel is up and running.

Maryland-Baltimore County beats Vermont to win the America East. Vermont 27-7 but won't get a berth while a stumblebum like Okie State will get a berth. Yes, I know, if Okie State played Vermont 20 times, OSU would win 19-20 times. But the little guys get a shot at the NCAA Tournament. And Vermont winning games is a fuck of a lot more exciting than Oklahoma State advancing.
That's my tilting at windmills for today.

Vermont pounded UMBC twice during the regular season. 71-56 and 81-53. Vermont played their asses off from November until today. Because of one shot, they go to the NIT. Meanwhile, your NCAA brackets will be filled with .500 teams from Power conferences who played lackadaisical basketball all season but will bring in higher projected TV ratings. Both should go to the NCAA. |

It looks like there are fewer than 1000 people at the American Conference semifinal between Memphis and Cincinnati. That's the problem with putting these conference tournaments away from a central geographic location of the conference. Many fans won't travel that far. The Big Ten tourney in NYC? What a joke.

it's going to be must see TV. it's amazing how Coach K keeps defending this weasely wormy rodent. anybody see his hockey 'hip check' against UNC?

Vermont or Baltimore County have no chance to win it all. Neither does Oklahoma State. I’d rather see a team rewarded for a great season in a small conference that a team rewarded for sleepwalking through a big conference and counting on a bid because they play in the Big XII or the PAC 12 |

He is a Duke alum too and usually he is so pro Duke that it sickens me. he probably just sees what a worm Allen is. ever have somebody on the Vikes or Iowa - and even though you're a fan - you just don't like them because of the type of human being they are? because you're an actual human being and can call a spade a spade and know when somebody isn't a good person? Allen is a disgrace - not like he's a freshman either - 4 year Senior (correct me if im wrong - i don't think he redshirted) and after all of these years - he's still a worm |
