VU, LZ and SY. The latter were remarkably consistent over the course of a long career. A bunch of other bands on that list are very good too.

To be honest, the only band on your list that is represented in my CD collection is Metallica. There’s a lot of great music that isn’t metal out there. Why limit yourself to one genre?

I've played in a few local bands off and on over the years, and not all of the songs in our set have been metal. There are songs I like that aren't metal. But when it comes to buying a full album, that's a different story.
