I am usually not a fan of retconning, however two cases I wouldn't mind.
1: That the island in Son of Kong didn't sink. I know, the evidence is pretty grim but until I watch a HD version I think the island was so much shrouded in mist that maybe only parts of it sank-tectonic shift-so I'd like to think the island is still out there.
2: Planet of the Apes. Yes, it was said at the end of Beneath the POTA that Taylor blew up the Earth but we didnt see it--unreliable narration does happen and while Cornelius said they saw the Earth's crust melt in Escape,--how the hell would he know what he was looking at? I thought he was an archeologist The original ape city was cool--revisiting it as it was in the original movies--with the old ape designs--gorilla soldiers, that I would like to see.
Not interested in the CG apes movies or the Burton one.
