Not one of my favorite years for film. But there were some good "Family" films released. Napoleon and Samantha, Snoopy Come Home, Snowball Express, Sounder, and Run, Cougar, Run.
For adult audiences I did like ZPG, Aguirre, The Candidate, and Jeremiah Johnson.

Aguirre, the Wrath of God is one of my favorite movies. The Godfather is a masterpiece, of course. The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie and Pink Flamingos are also fantastic.
