This game is over! Cavs defense has been very subpar in the second half, they’ve allowed UMBC to drain 3’s all night, and their offense has just been dismal, they didn’t use their size advantage or feed their bigs and they couldn’t get good shots. Absolutely pathetic choke job. Kansas St has to be feeling really good right now, also Tennessee, they are going to be the clear cut favorite to get to the Final Four out of that region.

That's quite incredible. Virginia wins the ACC beating Duke and UNC, goes to the tournament as the overall #1... and manages to be the first #1 to lose to a #16 in history! There's been some scares before, always by a hair... but 20 points??
UMBC put some Madness into March.
We got ourselves the ultimate Cinderella.
I'll be very curious to see this team in second round.

LOL, I wonder if Virginia's Head Coach will Get Fired for This ? It was really exciting to watch the game, but I feel bad for Tony Bennett - - he seems like a really good guy. If he did get fired, someone would pick him up immediately because he gets lots of wins out of middling talent. |

For me not to know, it's OK, I'm no expert. For him not to know, it's his profession, so it's a shame. But who knows? Maybe VCU beat some other seed while advancing and there is the mere detail that initially it wasn't a #6 (which anyway would pale in comparison to the feat of reaching the Final Four). I'm not motivated enough by this issue to look it up. If you find out the answer, do let me know, just as a matter of curiosity (I'm curious to know if the narrator just spouted nonsense or if he was right about it). |

Yes, I feel sorry for you, because it wasn't just the upset in itself - the game was also very exciting with some unbelievably beautiful plays by UMBC. It was unreal; they played like champs. Such dribbling, such fast ball control and passing, such incredible 3's... A thing of beauty! I was saying "wow" all the time! |
