I'd give Ultron a pass since as a robot, I'd expect him to look sleek and shiny.

Could you try using a larger font in future, please? I can barely see what you have typed.

Doesn't he already have a flying chair? Yes but it's too large to fit into the Thanoscopter so you can see his dilemma.

Hey OP, Get With The program--Thanos looks great--CGI Villains are the absolute ultimate in cinema technology--Otherwise we'd have villains like Killmonger just walking around saying 'wassup?' and 'hi Auntie'--CGI Shark in The Shallows(2016) was 100 times better than that dumb mechanical shark in all those Jaws films

For villains like Thanos, CGI is the only way to go. Bulky rubber suits will not work.

Which is why I will always have a special love for LOTR. They made cgi characters work though I think its because LOTR was not chasing after a catoonish look and the film was taken very seriously with heavy artistic input.
Thanos CGI is bad and looks fake but not as awful as Apocalypse.

It's the big downside to using big alien/robot villains.
Avengers, Justice League/BVS and even X-Men films have been doing cg villains lately and it's starting to get boring.
But I guess that's the trade off for adapting Comic Books into films.

The shots of him on the other planet fighting the Guardians and the Avengers are fantastic, especially that shot of him putting the stones in his gauntlet

If Drax, Nebula and Laufi the Frost Giant can be played without CGI then so could Thanos.

But I guess that's the trade off for adapting Comic Books into films. If we're getting a New Gods movie, that means we're gonna get Darkseid at some point down the line. I'd actually prefer if he's played by a live actor like Richard Armitage or Nonso Anozie. But WB/DCEU will likely use CGI.

Nah. It's hard to get the movements right with just rubber suit. Kurse looked great but didn't look anywhere near as powerful as hulk despite beating up Thor worse than hulk did.
