Stylish modern film noir. Well written by the Coens, and M. Emmet Walsh steals the show as the sleazy private eye.

One of the Coen's best... 1.No Country for Old Men (2007) - 9/10 (within my Top 26 movies) 2.True Grit (2010) - 8/10 (within my Top 56 movies) 3.Blood Simple (1984) - 7.5-8/10 (within my Top 105 movies) -.Barton Fink (1991) -.O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000) NOTE: Blood Simple was a solid 8/10 until my most recent re-watch on Oct 24th 2017. p.s. I like how the movie kind of revolves around the gun in how it's chambered as based on initial viewing one thinks the gun is empty when she goes to fire it at the end even though when looking into the details it makes perfect sense why the gun fires once you figure out how to load the chamber so that it's possible for it to play out like how it shows in the movie.
