IMDB lists Split as 2016. Otherwise, I would've included it in my top 10 too.  I dont count film-fest appearances, its premiere was in jan 2017 ,followed by limited and wide releases throughout the world. Its a tricky one but unless its had at least a limited release somewhere in the world I dont count it  I'm adding it to my list then.

i liked Trainspotting, didn't like Trainspotting 2 -- tried to be mainstream, slow-mo baloney, unbelievable Spud as Donald Trump, and more like a silly action movie with Begbie.
The trailer is the best part about it.. I thought it'd be a critique of modern life. If you want that, check out "I, Daniel Blake" which was made in 2016, by Ken Loach, who I think is the best living director.
