Out of curiosity, have any of you ever tried the Paul Masson wine that Welles most famously shilled for late in his career?

He was considered for Darth Vader's voice.
I think it was well used in Shogun (Paul Frees did the English dubbing for Toshiro Mifune in a couple of films and he also portrayed an Orson Welles-inspired character in the Pal War of the Worlds movie).
He was to be Zeus in Clash of the Titans before Olivier too so we read.
"I'm no crooked politician! I'm Charles Foster Zeus!"

I've heard different radio versions of WOTW and seen the movies, but Welles' adaptation is still the best. I also like his performance in the Hitchiker on Suspense. Those were two of the plays that got me interested in OTR in the first place. He was also a fine Dracula, though I prefer the BBC version with David Suchet and Tom Hiddleston.

I recently watched Ambersons so sublime, he is an inspiration. It just depends how many of his films you've seen I guess. I've seen: CK tMA Macbeth Othello a touch of evil lady from sahghia f for fake the trial I only liked Ck and lady from shanghai though out of those. I think making a film from Othello was a bad idea, imo. I don't think it's one of shakespeare's best plays. Macbeth, it's been done much better, imo! I think Macbeth would've worked better as a silent film though, maybe.
