Did you see this on the thread? 2,955 Views I wonder what that means? It must mean we players kept viewing the OUR totals on the OP? Funny thing, During the game, my wife and I went out grocery shopping while you were eating dinner. I was surprised to see the game still going on when we got back. No, Kijii -- it must mean that nearly 3000 folks peaked in to see what all the fuss was about. Eight signed in, and 2992 said -- 'Ah, the hell with it.'

We 8 are sure a curious tribe.....to paraphrase Dion O'Leary in In Old Chicago.

Sorry folks, no promised Garth Games Murder Quiz Part II originally scheduled for today. The QM is too busy here in the Great Northeast dealing with a Blizzard named Stella. Besides, concerned that continuous high winds just might knock out power. And no, I do NOT have a backup generator at the ready! (geez, you people must think I'm MADE of money!)
But if conditions improve and the staff can shovel out the parking lot of the GG Building (called 'Garth Tower'), we will see what tomorrow may bring.

We've seen reports of Stella here in Sweden and it looks like a big one. Take care and good luck!

You are in Sweden, Shield? Gosh, I hope you have recovered from that devastating terrorist attack that our truthful and intrepid leader told us about.

(geez, you people must think I'm MADE of money!) But if conditions improve and the staff can shovel out the parking lot of the GG Building (called 'Garth Tower'), we will see what tomorrow may bring. Matt Garth, I was afraid you might think that and you are probably right in thinking some of us might get our power knocked out because of winds (and that would be frustrating to those of us who play GG from on our desktop computers---not on our cell phones or I pads). Still, on the other hand, it would have been a pleasant way to fill the day while being snowed in. But, I understand your thinking. As Fagin might say "I'm reviewing the situation." One suggestion (as I watch these huge cotton puffs coming out of the sky): You might want to start later in the day (say 4 hours from now) so that AUSSIE might be able to participate more; Linda would be done with her shower; and you can get the parking lot of the GG Building cleared. It might be nice to play an evening GG as a change of pace. Yet, I can't imagine knowing anything more about murders and victims in the movies. I'm safe and warm and have taken the buckboard into town to get a full load of supplies. I'm thinking the worst thing that could happen to me is a power outage too. Like you, I wish I had a backup generator because power not only operates all of our entertainment but our HEAT too....burrrrr, I don't want to even imagine that---still our power company is prepared. ...I wish our power lines were in the ground...like other civilized countries are....rather than on those ugly poles. Maybe our illustrious leader might consider doing that as part of his WPA to get people "working again." ----------------------- I will check in from time to time to see if you change your mind..........

Thanks for the post, Kijii. The later starting time does have a problem, though. Between dinner break and the eventual need for sleep, that would leave a large swatch when there would be no updating of the board -- and a huge job of it with multiple duplicating posts to maneuver around when I would be returning in the morn.
But I won't rule it out just yet.

We've seen reports of Stella here in Sweden and it looks like a big one. Take care and good luck! Gosh Shield, I didn't realize you were Swedish. My father's father was a svensk pojke. That make me 1/4 Swedish. In fact, my brother was often called "Swede" while on the job at sea.

No worries about the game. Bundle up and have some fun in the snow. Remember. All work and no play makes Matt a dull boy. All work and no play makes Matt a dull boy. All work and no play makes Matt a dull boy. All work and no play makes Matt a dull boy. All work and no play makes Matt a dull boy. All work and no play makes Matt a dull boy. Jervis -- The Seven Little Garths already think that Daddy Matt is a dull boy.

Stella! "Streetcar Named Desire". Marlon Brando
Sorry to hear about you weather. We are having temps in the 80's here.
So I am working on my taxes instead of having fun.
Wish I could send you some of our heat. We could at least meet at the halfway point.

Linda -- just send us enough of that heat to melt the stuff piled up in the Garth Tower parking lot.

You are in Sweden, Shield? Gosh, I hope you have recovered from that devastating terrorist attack that our truthful and intrepid leader told us about. Hahaha, yeah, thankfully we've recovered although we're not sure exactly where and how it happend. It took us all by surprise to hear about it from your side of the pond and we're still searching for it. We've seen reports of Stella here in Sweden and it looks like a big one. Take care and good luck! Gosh Shield, I didn't realize you were Swedish. My father's father was a svensk pojke. That make me 1/4 Swedish. "The Swede" sounds like part of a GG answer.

"The Swede" sounds like part of a GG answer. Burt Lancaster. "The Killers" 1946
