Doubt it LOT thrives on being a crappy show with idiotic character with too much reverence for their own mediocre abilities...hmm now who sounds like the could be a perfect fix for this group of fuck wits? plus Mick annoying her by trying to make her eat bacon and he whining "but I'm jewish" or her doing her "holiday parties" and Mick telling her it's Christmas so shut up would be tre magnifique. Yeah. That would be funny to see Felicity with Mick. I don't think they would get along very well and unlike the other characters he wouldn't be praising her and Oliver's love all the time and saying she is the smartest person in the world but I just don't see them taking her out of 'Arrow' and putting her in 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' 'cause for one she doesn't really bring anything to the team. I mean in 'Arrow' she at least has her computer skills but the team have Gideon who is a computer and wouldn't need her. She would spend most of the episodes doing nothing or getting captured all the time and the Legends would have to save her unless they made her into a superhero like she was in the alternate reality where she was killed.

Yeah but 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' was lucky to be renewed for another season. If they add Felicity it might kill the show. I doubt it'll happen, but it would be fun to imagine what Olicity fans' reactions would be like. Agree that LOT was lucky to be renewed. Now that the season is through I have to say it's disappointing. All the buildup for the Mallus and all we got was that? Thinking about it this is probably their worst season. Oh. I agree. Mallus was very disappointing. I don't think he looked that bad as far as demons go in TV shows and I have seen a lot of demons and aliens in movies and TV shows that have looked far worse than he did but he wasn't anywhere near as powerful as they made him out to be and the build up just seemed to be for nothing at the end which is actually one of the problems they have in 'Supernatural' with villains. I think they made him too big too and they should have kept the fight grounded with the Legends physically fighting him instead of having him face a giant Beebo. I have seen some of the Olicity fans reactions for the last few episodes of 'Arrow' and I can tell you some of them are not very happy and are quite pissed over how little Felicity is being used. They are blaming the fall in the ratings on Felicity not being used enough and are saying Olicity fans are tuning out.

That was a truly joyous moment was it not? Only tainted by obviously making Felicity be the last "hero" standing like even in an alternative timeline MG had to make his fan wank character be the best...FUCK YOU GUGGY!!!...Sorry had a moment there, TBH where does she fit in Arrow? I mean to justify her they have to 99% of the time devalue everyone else to make her seem the best, even in crossovers for silly things like oh look a beta max and all we have is a vhs, hmm should the hacker fix this or should the engineer? the hacker and in less than half a minute mind you, who will also be the only person they don't show die when Savage wins the first time out, sure we know she did but cant show it....Fucking Guggy you thunderc**t...I need to have a nice cup of tea and a crumpet to calm myself now...thanks Deb *shakes fist*

How can they blame lack of Felicity for th poor ratings? She's been everywhere! if anything, that proves too much of her hurts ratings.

I've always liked the effects on the CW given the budget limitations and considering they're not a major network in the US. The problem was we didn't see enough of him, unlike Vandal Savage, Dhark, RF and the other villains. Since season 4 of LOT will focus on myths, monsters and magic, I hope they do better. Lol at Felicity fans. I remember back in the old IMDB board she had some really vocal supporters. Good thing they're not here

The CW Network have had some decent looking monsters over the years and I liked the look of 'Doomsday' in 'Smallville' much more than the one we had in 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' and even though we didn't get to see him much the one episode where we actually got to see Darkseid in his proper form I thought he looked pretty good too. The problem with 'Smallville' was the budget though and in the final seasons they were struggling with it but did the best with what they could. Two other TV shows I think had the best TV demons and monsters were 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel' and I think a lot must have changed with the prices of makeup artists since those days 'cause I have never understood why more shows like 'Supernatural' can't have demons like they had. I read 'Angel' was on the WB Network in America which is the same network that become the CW Network so they must have had a lot more faith in that show than others 'cause it looked like it had a far bigger budget. I would have liked to have seen more of Mallus in his demon form and I am hoping we get to see more monsters next season in monster forms instead of just possessing humans.

Seems if you want proper monsters on TV you turn to cable or the BBC. The networks don't seem to have the budget for more than humans with contacts and some sfx make-up.

I don't know why 'cause as I said there were a number of shows like 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel' in the past that had monsters in monster forms in them and some of them looked pretty good and were ahead of their time and then you have Horror movies that are made on really cheap budgets that have monsters too. Maybe they need to go back to basics to have them instead of relying on special effects and computerizing everything. A more basic approach would be cheaper to pull off on a TV show and then we would get to see more on screen. The lack of aliens in 'Supergirl' this season just looks weird after they had so many in the previous season.

Well a lot of these shows have smaller episode runs per season. Which means you can put more of the budget towards creature effects. I think eventually all American televison will ditch the 22 episode season and work with something half that size. That will give tighter stories without padding and filler and free up money for better effects so they can compete with cable better.

I mean, as the example has been made, the likes of Buffy and Angel did it through out their series runs; Star Trek TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise all featured recurring or series regulars in heavy prosthetics.
I do know it's a time consuming process, which could be a factor. A lot of those actors from those shows would have to spend hours just to get into makeup.
I have wondered how cost or time effective the wesen cgi effects were on Grimm; just superimposing the various looks on people, rather than practical effect. It didn't always look all that realistic though, unfortunately...

It didn't always look all that realistic though, unfortunately... You’re right. They do but the older TV shows still had a lot of episodes and were able to pull off things like demons, vampires, werewolves, zombies and other types of monsters so I think the cost must be a lot more expensive now than it used to be or more shows would use them. ‘Supernatural’ is a good example of this and they have demons possess humans and appear as black smoke instead of having them look like they do in ‘Buffy’ and ‘Angel’ ‘cause it is too expensive to have them appear in demon forms all the time. Although there have been some exceptions like the giant monster they had in the latest season who was the size of a building and looked like a monster, a giant tentacle monster and a demon that looked very similar to the demons in ‘Buffy’ and ‘Angel’ that we only saw in the mirror when it was possessing humans back in Season 5.
With a show like ‘Supernatural’ I would love to see them go all out for the final season and have Sam and Dean actually facing demons and monsters in demon and monster like forms and I know a lot of other fans who watch the show that would too. Having dragons in Season 6 possessing humans was really disappointing compared to what it could have been if they had used fire breathing dragons for the show and had the brothers fighting them. One thing that has me really interested is how Swamp Thing is going to look in the upcoming TV show and if they are going to use somebody in a costume with makeup or CGI or do away with the Swamp Thing form altogether and just have him appear in a human form like ‘Supernatural’ does ‘cause I think if they go with the latter a lot of fans are going to be disappointed.

Have it go out in a blaze of glory. Heehee!! Yes. Beccy and I will be seeing them again in December. I can't wait to see them and Def Leppard and the Scorpions. By the way have you heard Bon Jovi's first two albums, 'Bon Jovi' and '7800° Fahrenheit?' They are really different than a lot of the other albums they released and I don't remember them being played here on radio in Australia and think it wasn't until the third album when they got played here 'cause the first song of theirs I heard was 'You Give Love A Bad Name' but it is worth checking out 'cause Jon sounds so different.

I've listened to 'Bon Jovi' but not 7800° Fahrenheit. And you are incredibly lucky! You two are going to have an awesome time.

'7800° Fahrenheit' is kinda different than 'Bon Jovi' and I think it is a fairly good movie but they don't perform many of the songs from the album at concerts or include many of the songs on compilations apart from 'In and Out of Love' and 'Tokyo Road' ' 'cause Jon is not a fan of the album and it had something to do with the producer or record label making them go with a sound they weren't fond of which is something that happens to a few bands.

Oh yeah. Executive interference has had a hand in a lot of projects musicians hate. And it almost always leads to some of their lesser work. Too bad they can't wise but and knock off this practice.

No doubt. There are a number of artists and bands who have gone into the music industry hoping to be something only for executives to turn them into something else and Ronan Keating said Boyzone was originally meant to be an Alternative Rock band in the vein of Oasis, The Stone Roses and Blur but the record label made them into a boy band. There was an artist who came very close to winning 'The Voice' here a few years ago and she has a few albums out now and I can't remember her name at the moment but she went over to America hoping to be a Singer/Songwriter and play music like Jewel and Sheryl Crow and the record label put her in a girl band and made her learn how to dance and she wasn't allowed to write her own songs or play guitar. When she came back here to Australia and turned up on 'The Voice' with a guitar playing one of her own songs she blew a lot of people away with how talented she was.

She's always playing their albums and dancing around the house to them and she plays them and Def Leppard so loud the whole street can hear them.

No. I have not told a million people about that but I have told a few and am looking forward to it and I am hoping they perform more of the songs from their 'Crush' album like 'Say It Isn't So', 'Thank You For Loving Me', 'Save the World', 'Just Older' and 'Captain Crash & The Beauty Queen from Mars' 'cause they don't play as many of them as they used to and they should 'cause there were some great songs on the album apart from just 'It's My Life' but I think they will mostly play old songs and songs from their album, 'This House Is Not for Sale' especially with the name of the tour but we will have to wait and see.
