Honestly, I had actually been rooting for North Carolina in that game but man.....that whole thing was just so much fun to watch!

Honestly, I had actually been rooting for North Carolina in that game but man.....that whole thing was just so much fun to watch! jay wright is such an easy going likable positive genuine guy.... so easy to root for even if you're not from this area. 'nova has a beautiful campus a lil West of Philly in the 'Burbs on the Main Line - terrific area - love rooting for them as well as the other schools in the Philly area. lil anxious over Friday nights game vs. West Virginia - but i'll never complain about being a fan and watching somebody you root for go to the Sweet 16..... |

NC State over Houston. I didn't like Georgetown and liked Houston. Phi Slama Jama was fun to watch. But you couldn't help but love Valvano's Wolfpack. They weren't called The Cardiac Kids for nothing. And Valvano was such a likeable guy. Georgetown was becoming the Darth Vader of basketball and a loved seeing them blown up, but NC State's run in the NCAA was one for the ages. I remember a newspaper column saying "There's more of a chance of elephants driving in the Indianapolis 500 than North Carolina State beating Houston."
I do love seeing UNC get beat.
