I first noticed a problem when Wonder Woman was getting good reviews. You would think that DC fans would be happy that a DCEU movie was finally getting good reviews. Instead I saw many fanboys whining that the movie was only getting good reviews because "SJWs" were afraid to give a movie with a female lead a bad review. (Because we all remember those good reviews that Catwoman and Elektra got, amiright?) Then, after news that Ava DuVernay was in talks to direct a New Gods film, I saw fanboys saying things like, "I hope the movie flops so her career is tarnished". So fans of a movie universe are hoping that a movie in that universe flops...just because a black woman is directing it? (And yes, moat of the negative comments I saw mentioned her race, so it's safe to say that this was the problem they had with it.)

Why would you think these comments are coming exclusively from DC fans?

Creped Crusader is an notorious troll plaguing the Star Wars forums since long, he/she always puts out obtuse and poorly thought through OP statement that one can debunk by the simplest logic, and you will hardly get any response. I think it's an right winger who tries to make fun of SJWs. Someone to be laughed at or maybe pitied.

Why would you think these comments are coming exclusively from DC fans? That sounds like 1 of weirdraptor's sock accounts. His board is probably dead so he's back to trolling on these boards.

I don't think this is actually sexism/racism but more an anti-SJW or anti-PC thing. I mean, they're not attacking Wonder Woman because the movie has a female lead. They're attacking it because they think it's being unfairly praised due to having a female lead. The difference is subtle but it is still a difference.

only if you stop scratching that nasty fanboy rash that makes you sound like a broken record. If someone asks me 2+2, I'm not gonna stop answering 4. that's the point, nobody asked you. But maybe you can teach that to your MCU brethren, and those MCU-maker, they seem to have difficulties with basic timelines and one-digit year counts.

I took a seminar at the New York historical society about minority comic book characters and the lack thereof. Turns out, when asked, children of pretty much any minority don't want to see a super hero who is also a minority.

Sexism, racism and homophobia isn't limited to one fandom. There was a lot of hate for 'Captain Marvel' on the 'Captain Marvel' IMDB boards just like there was for 'Wonder Woman' not long after it was announced and that hate came from (surprise!) male Marvel fans who were angry over a female superhero getting her own movie and when Brie Larson was announced for the role they were throwing tantrums and calling her ugly and saying feminists were trying to force ugly women on them. 'Black Widow' has also been getting from Marvel fans since it was announced we could be finally getting a 'Black Widow' (something that should have happened a decade ago) and if there is one thing a lot of DC and Marvel fans have in common is you both sexist pigs who hate female superheroes getting their own movies. You could choose not to watch them but that's the thing, you want to control what comes out and what doesn't come out.

LoL,this reminds me of one message board thinking a sister forum is controlled by the alt-right because it's full of DCEU fans, despite the DCEU fans constantly praising Man of Steel and BvS as being liberal anti-fascist and anti-bigotry movies.

Movie fans seems to be very welcoming of minority characters despite what Hollywood studios have been saying.
