LoL,this reminds me of one message board thinking a sister forum is controlled by the alt-right because it's full of DCEU fans, despite the DCEU fans constantly praising Man of Steel and BvS as being liberal anti-fascist and anti-bigotry movies. ^^^The racism I have encountered on this forum was several individual here claiming that calling black people "monkey" was not racist, and making prison and n***** jokes about black posters, or people sporting King Kong names with black people avatars. But these individuals were exclusively MCU fans, like weirdraptor who is an infamous online bully who cowardly self annihilated before getting banned for his excesses. Sexism was aplenty too and came from individuals like Arf Arf Stanton (banned like weird raptor - "does Gal Godot get banged in costume") or furiousstyles77 ("WW will flop like a fat old slut's tits" etc). Both of them rabid MCU fans and hating on the triumph of Wonder Woman, a film that broke the curse was the first successful female led and directed CBM winning prestigious awards. There is also homophobia, but that's another story. Bottom line, even though I have only seen that crap coming from MCU fans this is likely a intellectual tumor festering in both fandoms: There are heroes on both sides, evil is everywhere! |

I took a seminar at the New York historical society about minority comic book characters and the lack thereof. Turns out, when asked, children of pretty much any minority don't want to see a super hero who is also a minority. Oh Good Lord, is this a sign of comic book fans being broken? Black Panther seems to say otherwise, so things seem to be getting better. |

And Panther had the absolutely hugest artificial boosters² ever. There is no discussion about that. |
