No Seinfeld board here (not that there's anything wrong with that), so yada yada yada on over. Hello, Newman.

The show was great but does anyone else find his standup comedy to be mostly lukewarm?

The show was great but does anyone else find his standup comedy to be mostly lukewarm? I do now. I used to like it and Seinfeld is my favorite comedy series of all time, but I listened to his 1998 show just the other day and it was downright terrible. He is just not funny.

Maybe one of his pilots was in the audience. I went to one of his shows a few years ago and thought he was hilarious.

The genius behind the show is Larry David. Jerry isn't bad, but LD is the true talent that drives the show.

Well, I'm casually streaming from the pilot onwards, I'm at season 3 now. The 23 minutes no breaks lets the show play nearly like a short.
Fascinating to me is how anecdotal George & Elaine's side stories were early on - telling not showing. Incredibly, Jason & Julia did great with their verbal storytellings. Wasn't until later into the series all 3 of George, Elaine, & Kramer began having their own scenes to themselves. I've never noticed that until now, 2021.

You know what I think would be really cool? If the cast reunited for a live reunion and reenactment. They can all pick a favorite episode (or 2) and reenact it. I’m talking full on building sets and everything. Then afterwards they could do a panel round table to discuss the show.
