The 1966 film "Incubus" (pictured in the O.P.) is, thus far, the only movie ever made entirely in the artificial language of Esperanto. Shatner is an advocate and fluent speaker.
Happy B'day to Mr. S.

Shatner parolas Esperantonโkaj estas defendanto de ฤi? Mi ne sciis tion!
(Esperantoโand, indeed, the very concept of โmanufactured languageโโrather amuse me.)
Seriously, though, my favorite Shatner performance is not in any of his movies, in Star Trek, or even any of his several appearances in The Twilight Zoneย but, rather, in one of the few great television ghost-stories, โThe Hungry Glassโ from Thriller.
One of the best episodes of that oft-excellent show.
87, though, already? Wow. Happy Birthday, Capt. Kirk!

Bestowed with acting chops so potent, it gave Ricardo Montalban an orgasm.

Thank you for this awesome tribute, teleadm. And a special thanks for mentioning Shatner' album, "The Transformed Man". It is an international treasure. Anyone that hasn't heard his cover of "Lucy in the Sky" owes it to themselves to listen to this video.
And here's an extra clip of Shatner's stunning interpretation of Elton John's "Rocket Man".
My life is definitely better having William Shatner in it. Happy Birthday, William!

Riverside, Iowa "future home of Captain Kirk on March 22, 2228." It's even marked as such on official Iowa maps. Coincidentally they have the same Birth DAY. to both of them now and in the future.

IMPULSE 1974
He is driving with this obnoxious girl hitchhiker (who pretended to be dead in the road, "got you to stop didnt it?") and they hit a dog and she is upset so he says "I'm sure he's ok. Dogs...are...very good...at...licking wounds."
His toupee was really out of this world in that one.
