It explains what happened in context regarding the famous if deleted screenshot of Joker biting a hand grenade while wearing a tuxedo. Now this is what I really expected to happen as the actual plot of the movie. Like Joker turns Enchantress as a part of a scheme to get Harley Quinn back or just for the evuls because he's the Joker. |

The character himself is one of the most iconic figures in comic book history. Even if this interpretation isn't the best, it would still make more sense for a major part due to the hinting in the advertising/trailers/spots. |

But it's Jared Leto's Joker. :/ One of the biggest complaints about SS is Jared Leto's Joker having very little screen time and impact on the story despite most marketing getting people excited about his character. |
