It premiers tonight on AMC. I may not be able to watch tonight but I am recording it. I'm a little confused about it. At first I thought it was just a story about survival against the elements but recently I heard that there is a "monster" that the people have to survive against. So I guess I'll see soon enough what this show really is.

The acting is great, and I'm looking forward to seeing how things progress with the 'monster'.

Saw the first episode and loved it. Amazing cast. Fantastic scene with Ciaran Hinds and Tobias Menzies sitting side-by-side, with Menzies telling a story about how he felt "like Caesar crossing the Rubicon." Any fans of HBO's Rome will recognize immediately that Hinds and Menzies played Caesar and Brutus, respectively.
What can you say about Jared Harris? He's always been great, but he killed it as Anderson Dawes in The Expanse. His character was genuinely scary and completely heartless, and that role required him to speak a funky-ass patois that easily could have been disastrous in the hands of a lesser actor.
The production volumes are off the charts. The ships of the line look as authentic as they have in any big-budget movie, probably even more so.
For some odd and annoying reason I can't get episode 2 on demand, so I'll have to wait for my DVR to catch it on a rerun.

Yeah I watched it. Liked it a lot. It seems like a mashup of Master & Commander with John Carpenter's The Thing.

Done with the first episode. Really enjoyed it. Man, when one of the crew got sick and started spewing blood and fell back on the table, I thought something was going to burst out of him hahaha

OK, I've watched the 2 hour premier. So far I like it. Loving the period setting and the arctic circle. Also like the slow burn which gives it a gothic horror feel. Hopefully it continues to be good.

I want to watch it but I keep accidently missing it. I saw about 40 minutes of it one night. It looks good.

I hope this is better than The Alienist, which got less interesting as each episode aired and the ending just sucked.

A friend mentioned it when the first episode aired. I went to see if it was on demand last week but it was not. But it might have been too soon. So I should remember to check it out this week.

Well episode 3 was quite interesting and had a very unexpected event (unexpected by me anyway). It's turning into a real horror story now.

Watch it when you can. I finished the series and, apart from the 'monster' CGI, which I wasn't too fond of, I thought it great.

Damn! That CGI polar bear looks fake, like it looks like it had a human face!

Damn! That CGI polar bear looks fake, like it looks like it had a human face! It's not a polar bear. It's a Tuunbaq-mythical creature that's supposed to hold human features.
