Or just great memories. I have many but on another board someone asked if anyone ever camped out for an event. It instantly made me think of this.
For about 10 straight years we would camp out at a place called Pithole in Pennsylvania for the first day of trout fishing season. People from all over would camp there because they always stocked the creek with plenty of trout. We all fished but it was more about camping and drinking the night before. Just talking about it sure brings back great memories.
What are some of your good memories that you now miss?

In no certain order:
Fan Tan chewing gum
1950's baseball cards with that huge slab of pink bubble gum
Appian Way pizza mix = a kit to make your own pizza
Good Humor ice cream and fruit bars
My mom's cooking

parents actually parenting their kids without fear of having their kids taken away when they act up.
students actually sitting down in class to learn [or attempt to learn]. none of this social crap. sit your booties down and crack that book!
behavior being up to the student and not to the teacher to control. the teacher had a lot more power back when I was in school and I was always expected to respect and behave.
teachers being respected, revered and appreciated. now we are spat on and are threatened.
adults expected to act like adults. paying bills and behaving appropriately.
when bullying in the school or workplace was actually dealt with appropriately. no worrying about the bullys feelings. THEYHAVENOFEELINGS!
[okay, my bad day is over and my first glass of wine is down...]
i miss... eating whatever the hell I wanted and not gaining an ounce. [that didn't last long]
the sims games. eat a dick windows 10. eat a bag of poisoned, cancerous dicks.
the 80's. i actually cried NYE 1989.
shows that i loved but i can not get on dvd or streaming -- there are actually a lot.
our first dog... scotchie. short for butterscotch. golden retriever with dark ears and the softest fur ever. died at 14 on the day [unbeknownst to me] i got my current job [this was back in 2002].
our second dog... buddy. still a golden. HUGE. 100lbs at 10 months old. no actual fat on him, all muscle and bone. unwalkable due to his strength but would maul someone if they so much as looked at me wrong [not that i encouraged this]. died at 6 years old from bone cancer and it was heartbreaking. he started out as an adult at 120lbs and was barely 90 when he died. it was like watching albert Einstein die from dementia. very protective of the family but not aggressive towards us. when i was recuperating from thyroid surgery he had to be by my side at all times and my hand had to be just on him. he would look at all the bowls of icecream brought to me to make sure it was okay for me to eat. he would not steal food from us from our hands.
our current dog although he is alive. murphy. big boo who is SMART! knew where he lived on his first walk on his first day home! visits me whenever i visit my parents [he lives with them but he would visit 'my room' every night]. when i would leave dad would always mention how murph is going to my room looking for me. respectful. you drop his leash he will PICK IT UP IN HIS MOUTH AND DELIVER IT BACK TO YOU!
My nieces. they are almost 4 and a little over 2 and i am missing so much although i am only 5 hours driving [don't have a car] away. can't afford to visit very often although i am always welcome. but since i can't get there other than busses and trains, and the depot for both in DC is a good hour away from their house, its a special occasion. my sister and her husband are wonderful but have high powered jobs so they can't just take off or whatever. my nieces are awesome and that is not because they are my nieces. how many babies third words were OCTAGON? while pointing to a stop sign. how any three year olds can write their names like they are in kindergarten? how many 2 year olds behave like an adult [not running around] at church? really -- none.

I would have to say my Grandfather. Even though he has been gone for a long time now I still miss him 'cause we were very close when I was younger and I learned far more things from him than I ever learned from my parents and have a lot of good memories of him. I also miss some of my friends who live in other states now but still see them occasionally and talk to them on the phone and emails.

Summertime after finishing school, living at home with practically no bills to pay. Working at night and surfing at the beach with my girlfriend almost every day. It was the best of times.

Toon Disney and Boomerang. Two of the best TV channels ever. Both unfortunately got rebranded.
