Use in movies
So you have a movie that shows stuff being grown, but where is it from, and where is it going

Use in movies So you have a movie that shows stuff being grown, but where is it from, and where is it going Most of the time it's painfully obvious that it's not cannabis. Outside of documentaries about how beneficial marijuana is or ones about how evil the US government is I can't think of a movie that actually had real marijuana plants in it.
So to answer your question. It comes from the prop department and it's going back there afterwards.

The profits from growing and selling the cannabis probably paid for those films.

My favorite way they show it is in the big shrink-wrapped bricks. We have plenty of sour diesel and purple kush (which has been legalized) here in the mushroom kingdom.

Are shrooms legal in the mushroom kingdom or is that considered cannibalism?

The baggie with what appears to be pencil shavings are hilarious too. Are shrooms legal in the mushroom kingdom or is that considered cannibalism? They're only legalized for medicinal use such as needing to double in size or getting an extra life. However, they call him Toad for a reason...one lick of the top of his head and you're flying. One trope I tend to enjoy (because in every instance the old man has been funny and well cast) is a bunch of stranded people go looking in a random house to use the phone. They stumble upon an indoor grow house. One character says "whoa, awesome we should take some." His companion says "no guys, come on, we should get out of here." Cue jump scare from grizzled old survivalist stoner with a shotgun, protecting his crop. "What are you kids doing here?" Next scene is the stoner sitting down with the main characters thrilling them with exhibition. I'm not even making fun of it, I always enjoy it. Michael Ironside nailed the stoned sage in "Extraterrestrial." Thought the movie was pretty much decent, but he was the highlight.

Not from me. Seriously, definitely not from me. I don't touch the stuff, don't grow the stuff, haven't been running a hydroponic set-up under my house for the last 20 years, and am absolutely positively not stoned right now.
