It does. I was making some earlier, stirring it with the boiling water. As I was standing right there, the aroma wafted in my general direction, and almost immediately I thought of Pine Sol. I'm all like "That's the smell of some cleansing product" and then I took another whiff and then another... and I was able to put my finger on it... Pine Sol. And then putting chemicals into just about every imaginable thing, and, as far as foods go, you can't much more "unnatural", i.e., chemical (??) then lime Jello.
The regular, non-sugar free, lime Jello does NOT have this similar aroma that goes with it!
But it smelled really good. And I love the smell of cleaning products. And Pine Sol is likely in my top three smells. But the thought of that premise was a little unnerving.
