Casino
"And just about the time that I'm comin' out of jail, hopefully, you'll be coming out of your coma. And guess what? I'll split your fuckin' head open again. 'Cause I'm fuckin' stupid. I don't give a fuck about jail."

Two of my top ten favorite movies of all time. I love them both so much. I chose the Departed, but that could change day by day.

Both excellent, but I prefer Casino.
Fun fact: I also prefer Casino to Goodfellas.

I love both of them, but Sharon Stone's character tips the balance for me.
That scene where she's on the front lawn raving and screaming like a lunatic with the neighbors all watching and the cops reluctant to get involved. Ace just calmly standing there. Yeah.

I can see it as funny in a dark humor kind of way. I find a lot of Scorsese material to be like that. And so is life because money and power doesn't always equate to happiness. At the same time it's tragic because all the drug abuse and her unhappiness has put her in a position where she was losing control of herself. And so I feel sympathy for her. Most of all I see it as damn fine acting.

Casino is just too great.
Fun Fact: I once knew a guy who grew up in New Jersey with the real life character Pesci played and his brother. They were older than him and scary, that's all he would say!

As a comprehensive story I probably prefer the Departed...but Iād rather watch Casino because Deniro, Pesci and Stone killed it.
