I myself would love to see JJ Abrams do a Flashback Scene in "EPISODE IX" showing a Lightsaber Fight between Luke Skywalker and Supreme Leader Snoke (which would just be a bald Andy Serkis with No CGI on him at all) and how Snoke became so badly wounded and deformed. I really think that that would be Freaking Awesome to see.
What does everybody else here think ?

I want a scene where Mark Hamill goes all John wick on Lucasfilm and Disney.

I'm pretty open to anything at this point as long as it's a fresh idea.

Flashbacks is NOT Star Wars style. I agree. Flashbacks are not Star Wars. Neither is withholding scene swipes, which Episode 8 was big on (despite all the other movies having them). In case someone doesn't know what a scene swipe is:

Oh yeah what the fuck happened to the classic Scene Swipes? We could say that same thing about all the Star Wars traditions the movie overlooked. The only "tradition" they did keep was the underwhelming deaths of the antagonists...

My fear is that we never will.

Yes, Boba Fett, Darth Maul, Phasma, even Zam Wessell, lol I did like Jabba's death. That was probably the only good one.

Characters like Jabba, Dooku, Grievous, and even Jango Fett, were actually used well in their respective movies. They at least had stuff to do and were crucial to the story in their movies.
Whereas the others we've mentioned really weren't.
When I first saw Darth Maul in the 1st TPM trailer I almost had an accident in my pants thinking "So that's going to be the Prequel trilogy's Vader! Awesome!" ...How disappointed I was.

However TLJ changed that, at least for a short quicky. Sustained flashbacks are probably not in the cards.
But at this point it might be the way to go since there's so much story to tell from the 30 years between ROTJ and TFA, and since its the only way we can get more Luke. ugh

Honestly, Grievous could have been cut entirely from Episode 3 without it impacting the plot. I know it! Me too. It would have been great to have Maul through the PT until Vader emerged.

Did you know that originally, Gary Oldman was going to do the voice for General Grievous but for some reason, things didn't end up working out (I think it involved some sort of legal reasons, I am not quite sure). Still though, I think that that would have been Pretty Cool.

Still though, I think that that would have been Pretty Cool. I did. It had to do with George Lucas' issues with the union and him choosing to use non-SAG actors in Episode 3. Oldman the reluctantly backed out because he wasn't going to go against his SAG agreement. Also, Darth Maul was originally going to played by Benicio Del Toro. However, Benicio backed out of the role after Lucas cut most of Maul's lines from Episode 1.

Yeah, I would have given all of Grievous plot to Dooku. And I would have given all of Admiral Holdos actions to Leia. At least that way she would have gotten a great send off (also I would have kept Luke alive for at least one more movie, shhhhh)
