The authentic cult comedy 'License To Drive' celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, just as Randal Kleiser's cult teen musical 'Grease' (1978) turns 40. 'License To Drive' was the feature-length theatrical debut of director Greg Beeman who pulled out all the stops. It tells the story of 16-year old Les Anderson (Corey Haim) who lies to obtain his driver's license in order to impress Mercedes Lane (Heather Graham) but pays a very heavy price for his irresponsible behaviour.

'License To Drive' News
The pumpin' soundtrack for 'License To Drive' is a classic release and the original music for the film was composed by Jay Ferguson of psychedelic rock group Spirit. This picture was shot by legendary DP Bruce Surtees. There was an intended sequel according to Corey Feldman named 'License To Fly' that could have led to a trilogy, completed by 'License To Dive'. If planes and boats had entered the fray who knows what might have happened.
