Just watched it...very enjoyable. Comedic timing was on point and the action sequences were mostly fun. *potential spoilers beliw*
The fact that some Asgardians use guns will never feel right to me. Korg and the Hulk had me laughing at every turn. When Banner fails to Hulk out initially against Fenris...if I’d have had a drink I would have spit it out. I thought Valkyrie was interesting as a drunken junker and Hela was fantastic. I always enjoy the Thor movies, I think it’s because they often feel very different than the other mcu titles. Utilizing he Norse mythology and whatnot. This one was probably the most enjoyable Thor so far.

It is one of the most purely entertaining movies ever made imo and has an awesome 80s feel to it.
It is my favorite MCU movie and the main reason is because it doesn't feel like just another link in the chain. It feels like it's own movie, in it's own world and unlike most of the other movies in the franchise it has STYLE.
The fact that it self parody makes it all the more fun.

off the top of my head... the Thor series is the only super hero movie series worth re-watching from Marvel. DC have more re-watchable super hero movies for me in general.

I'm a self-confessed MCU fan (and CBM fan in general) but Ragnarok surpassed all expectations....so much to enjoy. Korg and Valkyrie almost steel the film for me. The use of "Immigrant Song" was probably one of the best uses of licensed music I've seen in a film...and they managed to use it perfectly twice. There are some visuals in there that equal or surpass any I've seen in a comic book movie. I still forget Blanchett is Hela and find myself thinking "Amanda Donhoe still looks good". Best threequel ever? Probably

This is a travesty and piss-poor trilogy conclusion pandering to the lowest common denominator. Just a few point: /5

Yes,
It's one thing to do a stand alone film, that is intentionally a nostalgia trip...
And even with "Guardians Of The Galaxy", you have a reason for the classic music... The Mixed Tapes...
But considering that this is a sequel to other films set in the present time in the MCU... I found this one to be rather distracting and out of place, while I was watching the film...
However, Even though I am not much of a fan of these Thor films, I did find the rest of the film to be better than I expected it to be.
I would rate it a 7/10, but I have to take off a point for the Random 1980s nostalgia trip.
6/10

Like most marvel films, I enjoyed watching it and am fine with not seeing it again.

This was a big time missed opportunity to make it sorta like Game of Thrones or a darker LOTR film in tone. But since its an MCU film, you gotta follow Feige's "vision" & keep things light for the kiddies . Bummer . And I could have done without a lot of the slap stick thru out this . 5/10

More like American Ragnarok: The hoot and holler of the Marvel Gods.
Reminded me of a Stargate or Guardians episode more than what came before. If you do not buy into the humor and antics you are fucked.
Corporate filmmaking incorporated. And it sells out splendidly.
You cannot stop Ragnarok, why fight it?

They decided to shrink Asgard rather than expand it.

This is a travesty and piss-poor trilogy conclusion pandering to the lowest common denominator. Just a few point: Walt Disney would have treated such things with respect, but not these beta banker types. Needed a John McTiernan-type, but Disney loves it multiculturalism. Race-mixing Valkyrie was especially pathetic and they didnt have the decency to admit it. They said "oh, she gave the best audition." Why was she auditioning in the first place when she didnt fit the character description? They can't even lie properly.

Ragnarök is one of the greatest narratives, with Thor heroically defeating the Midgard-Snake but finally dying of the wounds, Odin mauled by the Wolf and all gods and giants dying in an epic end-game battle., only a few surviving It could have been their Logan or TDK within MCU, something to differentiate this trilogy from the other MCU fare - even Kennedy had the balls in Rouge One). But NO WAY, we just copy the Guardians formula and make a Fragglerock joke fest. Or else we would lose the lucrative kiddy and manchild market. What would Disney say...?

Agree that Hela was fantastic and the best Marvel villain ever--Scenes with Anthony Hopkins were moving--Hulk-Thor fight was well done--Loki and Thor working as one was very uplifting, and the first after credits scene was great

I enjoyed it and thought it was easily the best of the main three Thor movies.
Chris Hemsworth is well cast as Thor as is Tom Hiddleston as Loki. I liked the stuff with Anthony Hopkins as Odin too. However, I felt the first two Thor movies were very underwhelming and never lived up to their potential.
The first Thor film had some nice initial scenes in Asgard, but the rest of the film was a huge bore. They have this huge Viking superhero with a mighty hammer and they spend the majority of the film in a boring backwater town and waste it on a boring romance subplot? I don't remember much of Thor: The Dark World other than some evil elves and some portal opening in the middle of a street or something.
I felt like Ragnarok embraced its ridiculousness aspects more and for me, that made the film more enjoyable. Cate Blanchett and Jeff Goldblum were good additions to the cast as were the goofy rock alien and having Hulk tag along was fun. I loved the more humorous slant as well. Just a fun movie that wants to have a good time and it delivers.

Funniest thing about this movie are not the mediocre jokes but that she was the first bisexual in the comics and promoted as such, and they shot harmless material in this regard. But that material was finally cut by Marvel. www.avclub.com/thor-ragnarok-ultimately-cut-the-one-scene-that-confir-1820047758

In the comic she started out as a women's lib character. A scientist in a lab accident or something. Marvel was never faithful to the Norse mythology--they co-opted it, but at least they were so SJW crazy as now.

This is a travesty and piss-poor trilogy conclusion pandering to the lowest common denominator. Just a few point: /5 You are seriously a pathetic loser. The sad thing is, you know Thor 3 was a great movie. You just can't take it. No human being on the planet thinks movies like Batman vs. Superman or Suicide Squad are better than Thor 3. It is seriously impossible. I am sorry that you live a pathetic existence and cannot stop bashing everything Marvel puts out.
