Fascinating news and if true score another one for the bible. FIFY Stories like this amuse me. They found a clay seal mark with the name Isiah on it and they leap from that to "The Biblical prophet Isiah?" So if I find an old letter in Virginia signed George, should I assume it was written by George Washington?

Were folks doubting Isaiah at one time had a signature? Are they going to return it?

So what?
Even if this signature is from the same person who wrote the Bible book, this doesn't mean that the Bible is true. If in 2000 years, somebody finds a signature by J.K.Rowling: Will this make Harry Potter true?

What does finding evidence of the person that wrote a book have to do with the veracity of the book? Every book has an author, after all.

Well it certainly doesn't do the bible's credibility any harm. Mount Ephraim is mentioned in the bible... therefore, Jesus walked on water and rose from the dead.

The Prime Minister resides in Downing Street, and there is a railway station "King's Cross". All true facts, all mentioned in Harry Potter. Therefore, Hogwarts exists, and Witchcraft and Wizardry are real. Great logic there.

Quarks exist... ergo, Finnegans Wake = REALITY

Every book has an author, after all. It's significant because one it shuts up the "we have no evidence that person X from the bible even existed, let alone the story to be true" skeptics, forcing them to move the goalposts. And two it's extra biblical evidence for one the most notable and important figures from the bible lending more credence to the book's historical reliability. Nothing in the OP claimed that this discovery proves the entirety of the bible as truth, so I don't why you guys have been triggered into making a straw man argument.

Your OP and comments allude to a confirmation of general validity of the scriptures with such discoveries. It's an attempt to ambiguously substantiate the absurdities which are the true issues skeptics have with the bible.

Skeptics who laugh at the notion that Moses and Abraham were historical figures(there's just no damn evidence yooo!") are plentiful. Probably a few on this board in fact.

Of course, it's circular twittedness. Odin and Mars were historical figures in the flesh as well, as they were also "documented" in their mythologies. So you do believe humans evolved from a fish.

I hate doing an ad hominem, but the article is from Fox "News". You might as get your news from crazy homeless people yelling gibberish on the streets. And even then you would get more insight than Sean Hannity.

What is it with you questioning sources all the time anyway? Go and type "Isaiah artifact discovery" into google, I'm sure you'll be able to find a less triggering outlet to satisfy you. And FYI Fox although admittedly not perfect, it can't hold a candle to CNN when it comes to fake news.
