For me it is not the commercial as a whole, it is the little bits that make it up.. the first one we see one mother seemingly TRY to break up a fight between her teenage boys. and it isn't working. yeah. confidence inspiring. then we have the humdrum of 'if I only had a brain... then we see... [drumroll] the young mother in the diner sitting at a BOOTH BY THE WINDOW breast feeding her baby. RIGHT. BY. THE. WINDOW. blech! no blanket or anything. titty out for all the world to see. yeah. she has NO brain. no thanks. UofPX. sad thin... I was interested in taking some courses online with them and signed up. within an hour I had three twits calling me! |

I used to really hate those V-8 commercials, where the woman/girlfriend/wife smacked her boyfriend/hubby/son in the head for not drinking V-8. One in particular involved a man at a salad bar, and his wife/girlfriend just palmed him in the forehead enough to send his head back, all accompanied by "wacky" music. And I was wondering, if this was a man hitting a woman, to the accompaniment of wacky music, would this commercial even be on the air?

good point, naterdawg.... only thing... and this is sexist and closed minded... they probably had the women hitting the men upside the head because women are kind of thought to be healthy eaters. meanwhile. v8 sucks donkey balls and why not actually taste the carrots and celery???

Why is it okay for the mentally-superior woman to smack her partner "upside" the head? Merely because they chose not to eat vegetables? The one twist on the theme was when a young mother was smacked in the head by a toddler. That's the one and ONLY time a woman ever got "hers" for not eating veggies. |

It's a current fad; it's political correct BS at its most racially biased heinous. well, with the risk of offending some people, they don't make V8 out of fried chicken, chowmein and tacos. really, I don't want to offend anyone but you know how some people are all butt hurt if someone says it but they eat it nonstop behind closed doors. anyway... that is because health foods are kind of geared towards white people. white people seem to be interested in healthy eating/whatnot. idk what is going on, I see far more obese white people than I see anyone else. I'd see so much more if there was a Walmart near me. |
