Personally , for me, not counting the finale of course: Worst are tied between episode where they go to the party and jerry and Elaine buy the cake , then they find a hair in it, and George guys wine, but spills the entire bottle in the store. And then the other episode that's just as bad is the flag burning episode, during the parade.
Those two episodes are the worst, imo. |

Those two episodes are the worst, imo. Your worst is The Dinner Party? That episode was hilarious! And even the Puerto Rican Day Parade episode is fun. The worst is The Busboy. The best episode? Almost impossible to narrow down to just one but I'll go with The Gum. |

Two of the best I remember: The soup Nazi one ... the one where George saves the whale "The sea was angry that day, my friend"... and the worst is hard to nail. The one where Jerry's ex had a name that rhymed with a female body part and he couldn't remember. "Mulva...?"

Best: The Contest. Holding off masturbation.
Marine Biologist. Hole in one.
The Soup Nazi.
The Boyfriend. Keith Hernandez. There had to of been a second spitter.
The Merv Griffin Show.
Worst: Puerto Rican Parade. Just dull.
The Jacket. Sitting in a lobby waiting for Elaine’s crabby father.
The Busboy. This unfunny guy gets as much screen time as the main characters.
The Baby Shower. Fantasy scene where Jerry is shot over illegal cable.

Worst: George and his Tropic of Cancer book
Note: Elaine's father was played by Lawrence Tierney, an actor who was a notorious brawler in his heyday. I read that Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander were actually scared sh!tless of the man.

Best - The Chinese Woman. Everyone on their A game, hilarious lines & cues (George climbing into the oven is Marx Bros calibre), & no one really gets hurt, unlike nearly every single other episode.
Worst - The Heart Attack. Not a 'bad' episode, something just has to be worst. Tor Eckman. George going to the hospital like Looney Tunes character.
Jerry opening the show dreaming up a great joke, can't read his hand writing... only to realize at episode's end the line & it wasn't funny anyways. Says it all for me.
Another poor one is their first part in Los Angeles, riding around in the police car. Fish completely out of the water.

Best - a cliched choice, but The Contest has always been my favorite.
Worst - a lot of people are picking some classics here. Outside of clip show episodes, I think anything from the first two seasons is applicable (besides Chinese Restaurant and the one with Elaine's dad). I think overall I'd say the S2 finale, where Jerry and Elaine inexplicably fall in love with each other (which is immediately forgotten about in season 3, btw). It's the show about nothing at its least cynical and most sitcomy, and thus least "Seinfeld".

I was never a fan of the show... But one time during a family reunion, relatives were watching the episode "The Voice", and I watched it with them. I did find that one particularly funny... I loved the part how Jerry tells his girlfriend, his choice concerning, doing the voice, or being with her. HELLOOOOOO! |

The worst episode in my eyes is "The Susie", in which a simple "that's not my name" response would have saved 75% of the plot, leading to a funeral for a non-existent person. The only highlight is George, at home, listening to his answering machine message.
Fortunately, there's many more excellent Seinfeld episodes. So much harder to choose which one is my favorite. Though it does start slowly, The Puffy Shirt is an all time favorite.

The pilot episode was probably the 'worst' one as the tone was so much different than the rest of the show, but I have a hard time finding a bad episode. It was the greatest comedy of all time. Some are listing some classics here as the worst.
