At that age you have to wonder if he's still healthy enough to enjoy it. I hope so! I'll bet if you came to visit him, he would put the antimacasars on the furniture. I don't know, vrkalak . But thank you for teaching me a new word, I had never heard of a antimacassar before!

Thank goodness for MeTV. It's the only place I can watch this show these days. I loved watching it when I was a kid.

Plus the two reunion movies that they finally released separately after being exclusive to the "complete series" set for years.

I was certain that a die-hard TWWW fan like yourself would have all four seasons on DVD. Yeah, I know Ross Martin had a heart attack and did not appear in nine episodes in Season 4. But still, it's not like the show took a huge nosedive in quality. Compared to the 1999 movie abomination (which I finally saw for the first time earlier this year), Season 4 is freaking brilliant!!!

lol. I guess since those episodes are on YouTube, I've gotten lazy. They are showing the 4th season now on METV, record it every week.

You can buy still the Season 4 DVDs at Amazon.com new for only $13. The "like new" used copies are $18! For only $13, you really should snap them up while you can. If you don't, and they go out of print, you'll regret it.

All the recent discussion in this thread, as well as my recent post here, has inspired me to re-watch the entire series, while re-reading Sue Kessler's book.

I never watched the show regularly but caught it now and then. Maybe I should check out the pilot... I could have sworn catching a bit of an episode where William Shatner was a agent friend of West and Leonard Nimoy as the villain but couldn't locate it in a search. I remember a documentary discussing the shows the Star Trek cast were guest stars of during the series' run.
Boy do I concur with the single episode approach. I can't stand these soap opera shows and won't watch them (after the Sopranos). IMO they are a total cheat/waste of time. It works for I Claudius or another mini series, but if employed in a longer series it often means sacrificing the movie-style value and appreciating the characters for stand alone qualities. It's another nail in the coffin of creativity.

Is that wrong? Not at all. But I find it more meaningful to read up on the seasons and episodes as I'm watching them.

If "James Bond in the West" sounds like something you would enjoy, you should check out the pilot. William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy never appeared on TWWW, but many Star Trek guest stars did, including: - Antoinette Bower
- Sherry Jackson
- James Gregory
- Barbara Luna
- Michael Dunn
- Kathie Browne
- Ricardo Montalban
- Leslie Parrish
- William Schallert
- Susan Oliver
- William Windom
- Arlene Martel
- Mark Lenard
- Madlyn Rhue
- Yvonne Craig
- William Campbell
- Marj Dusay
- Jeff Corey
- Sabrina Scharf

Also, there is another WWW tie with Star Trek. Gene L. Coon left West and went to Trek.

Another connection to Star Trek is that they shared at least one writer. The last episode I re-watched is The Night of Sudden Death, which was written by Oliver Crawford, who wrote scripts for both shows.
