July 2, 1842, Happy Birthday James T. Today's date also means that the year is now half over and you have only six months left to deliver on your promise of #ComingIn2021.

THE NIGHT OF THE DRUID'S BLOOD
This was quite a loopy experience since it threw in so many twists and you didn't know what it was going to reveal. The brain thing was a little far out for me-but I like that it got grounded again with the ending. Also the final line was good. It did keep my attention. Don Rickles' exit seemed a little weird though.
That illusion he used to appear as a spirit I assume is called Pepper's Ghost. I did like the room of cloaked mannekins. Kind of creepy.
But no Artie disguise so not good.

THE NIGHT OF THE DRUID'S BLOOD But no Artie disguise so not good. As you can see in the four elements thread, the last two episodes of the first season also lack Artie disguises. But as I noted in my review of "The Night of the Druid's Blood" (my most detailed early review), that is the least of Artie's problems: This is a bad outing for Artie though, as he manages to chain himself to a wall and get shocked unconscious within a few minutes.

Yeah it seemed stupid that he would let himself be chained so easily.

Also that he sat by the bed for 12 hours. Is that really the proper attitude for a secret service agent? He should have been shown skeptical and that is what prompted the imposter to take off.
His attitude when Jim returns and starts accusing the woman--Artie is kind of like an embarrassed wife: "Don't do this! I sat with you half the night." I did like the guy who was their superior. He reminded me of John Larch I think. I thought that was interesting detail-about the control of the secret service. "Capitol Hill."

Yes, as I noted in my review of "The Night of the Druid's Blood": Kudos as well to Simon Scott as Col. Fairchild. I'm sorry he never reprised his role as West's superior. However, he went on to play Col. Stanton Mayo in "The Night of the Golden Cobra" and Theodore Bock in "The Night of the Juggernaut".

Richard Donner passed away today at the age of 91. He directed 3 episodes of West. One of which was the excellent “Murderous Spring.”

I always loved Donner's "The Night of the Returning Dead." A real classic featuring Sammy Davis Jr. and Peter Lawford. One of my favorite episodes. RIP, Richard.

Night of the Freebooter
I liked this one. Return to form. I didn't expect the "grand old lady of the Secret Service."
The turtle was neat. I liked their facial reaction when they saw it.
Also Trelayne!
Maybe I shouldn't ask but it would be cool if the infamous "Colonel Green" makes an appearance on the show. Then again, he may have already and I forgot!

Here's a sneak peek at my review of that episode: "The Night of the Juggernaut"As I noted in my comments on "The Night of the Freebooters" back in Season 1, "The Turtle" concept was enhanced and reused in "The Night of the Juggernaut". The Juggernaut could also be considered a "cousin" of the Dragon Tank in the first Bond film, Dr. No. Juggernaut Dragon Tank

“Colonel Green” actor was in an earlier episode, TNOT Glowing Corpse. I figured after I wrote that he must have appeared. I noticed this was a Gene Coon written episode too.
That plastic explosive compound sure comes in handy. It did feel like deja vu. He had that compound, and also the knife in the boot.
I felt like I had seen that before.
This seemed to have a high death toll--they were letting loose with the guns in this one.
Maybe I never noticed before.
Another thing--how did West know that someone was going to shoot into the train. I heard a train whistle and then he reacted to it.

Warning signal from the train conductor.

There hasn't been any new activity in this thread for two months. It seems that Prime etc. is no longer posting on this site. Hey vrkalak, you now have only three months left to deliver on your promise of #ComingIn2021. Remember, I already did part of the work right here.
