Moor Mother's Fetish Bones was the most focused, aggressive, experimental slice of sort-of-hip-hop I've heard in many a year, and the album of 2016 by some distance. This feels more like a bunch of experiments and work in progress towards the next release proper. Less aggressive, and more playing with textures.
