Hakushi Hasegawa - Air ni niQuite wonderful, a lush and harmonious blend of art/prog pop with wonky, breakcore and nu-jazz elements, all to create something that is as reminiscent to the Katamari Damacy soundtrack as it is Iglooghost's Neo Wax Bloom. One of the albums of the year.

Richard Devine - Sort/LaveWould I want some more [messed up text here] with that IDM? Why, yes I would. I love Richard Devine. I feel like he’s one of the few artists that can actually rival Autechre with sound design being treated liked architecture. Their music sounds like the digital art you often see as album covers in the IDM-sphere, like Henry Moore sculptures that have been twisted into even more illogical shapes or three-dimensional Kandinsky-style constructions but in sonic form. There’s many copycats but very few deliver on the promise of the artwork. Another one that comes close is Venetian Snares' Huge Chrome Cylinder Box Unfolding which also has that abstract 3D stuff on the cover. Most other artists in the IDM-sphere that attempt this kind of thing just can't quite get the balance of sounding massive with a lot going on while also sounding very spacious and minimalist. Either that or they fall back to making songs with traditional structures - not that there's anything wrong with that though.

George Clanton - SlideI'll just go ahead and copy this review from RYM because it summarizes the album better than I ever could:

Kasper Bjørke Quartet - The Fifty Eleven ProjectRather lush and soothing blend of Michael Brook-esque ambient and electronic textures with the Max Richter brand of post-minimalism.
