idk if it is as intricate as you are asking but I think we have a pretty good search engine. one thing OImdb DIDN'T have at all.
I really like you can look up threads/posts between two people. I wanted to do that on OImdb but yeah... they were primitive.

Muzzle was an IMDb programmer who I haven't been able to find on any of the successor boards. There was a poster on the Classic Film that claimed to be on the committee that made the decision. He claimed that it was done because the search function allowed abuse of individuals that were being trolled using the function.
