I wanna call this a guilty pleasure but the sheer stupidity is almost too much. I think the biggest eye-roll is when the filmmakers want to use to sympathize when that drug-dealer dickhead kid is killed. Not happening, man. Still, I do like when RoboCop and RoboCain duke it out. Who knew putting the brain of a psychopath inside a nearly indestructible robot with unlimited ammo would backfire? Still, it's a masterpiece compared to RoboCop 3.

6/10 A step down from the original but its still enjoyable. And yes it is better than part 3. And loads better than the remake. |

It has some fun moments like the climactic stop-motion battle, but overall a very disappointing sequel to the classic original.
The script is unfocused as it jumps from one subplot to another with no coherence (the opening with his ex-wife goes nowhere) and Robocop becomes a bland action hero rather than the tragic character of the first.

Very disappointing sequel.
One expected with the Empire Strikes Back's director on board it might be really good, but what a difference it made to not have Verhoeven.
I read at the time he would have wanted to do it if not for Total Recall-he would have made Clarence Boddicker the Kane character.
The FX were really good though.

I found much to enjoy in this movie. The exploration of Robo's past life was a nice touch.
