I thought this was absolutely fascinating. I knew about Japanese customs, but I was for whatever reason unaware that they were still this widely practiced.

“Like a Picture-Postcard” I recently reposted this to Reddit’s “NoSleep,” and it didn’t do terribly, but someone wrote: Just wondering if anyone else feels this way. I wouldn’t be offended, I’m just trying to improve my work.

^^^Third story in a row to be panned on Reddit. Not a great track-record. If anyone has any comments, I’d love to read them; otherwise, I’ll chime in at this thread, if there’s anyone who’s still interested, when I write something Reddit likes more.
You are of course all welcome to post your spooky stories here.

I said I’d return when I had a piece they liked more, and here we go—though still no comments or anything, which is somewhat disappointed because I specifically tailored the piece to the audience there. Please, if you’re interested, let me know if you think it’s any better.
It’s for something called “the Wikipedia challenge,” in which you click the “random article” button three times on Wikipedia and write a story based (tangentially or directly) on those three random articles. Again, rules stipulate it has to be under 500 words. As always, be as critical as you’d like. (John, by the way, is not my name.)
